Giant Pacific Octopus - Prints + Cards

from 6.00

The Giant Pacific Octopus (Octopus Dofleini) is a mysterious creature residing the rocky shorelines and offshore waters of the Pacific Northwest from Alaska to Southern California. They can get to approximately 16’ from tip of the head to longest of it’s 4 pairs of arms (yes arms… tentacles are on squids). It hides in the rocks eating shrimps, scallops, crabs clams and other shellfish and is eaten by bigger predators such as seals, sea otters, sharks and other big fish. Sometimes you will accidentally catch one when fishing for halibut offshore and they are hard to get off the line because they just latch on to everything! I personally love them… they are highly intelligent and one of my favourite creatures out here!
